Big Bass 3in1: three small games that add up to a good time

I went into Big Bass 3in1 skeptical, because bundling three mini-games into one app usually means all three are shallow. That's partly true here, but it turns out shallow can be exactly what you want on a Tuesday evening when you don't have the energy for a strategy campaign.

The fishing mode is the anchor. You drag to cast, wait for a nibble, then tap to reel, and the little tug-of-war between patience and timing is genuinely relaxing. When I got tired of it I'd flip to the matching board, which is a clean swap-and-clear grid, and when I wanted something twitchier the tap-timing mode filled that gap.

What makes the package work is how quickly you move between modes. There's no long menu dance; a couple of taps and you're in something different. That variety keeps a single session from getting stale, which is the usual trap for casual games like this.

My advice: don't treat Big Bass 3in1 as a game you grind. Play it in short bursts, let the modes rotate on your mood, and it stays charming. Try to marathon one mode for an hour and you'll notice the edges. As a pick-up-and-put-down title, though, it earned its spot on my home screen.
